High Damping Rubber Pad Seismic Isolation Bridge Bearing
The laminated rubber bearing pads are made of several layers of natural rubber with reinforced steel inserted through sulfuration and adhesion. Laminated rubber bearings have enough stiffness and elasticity to transfer all load on bridge span structure to pier. Additional, it can bear the horizontal displacement, rotation and transformation caused by load.The laminated rubber bearing pads can reduce the pier vibration and accommodate the horizontal movement on the bridge span structure caused by the temperature changing and thermal expansion.

Type A,B,C BS:EN 1337 certificated Elastomeric Bearing Pad for bridge is placed between the bridge deck and bridge support for purpose of accommodating potentially damaging movements of the bridge deck resulting from the thermal expansion or contraction, the action of traffic, wind and other effects what a pad of vulcanized rudder, with or without internal reinforcement. It also has round and rectangular shapes, which is used to accommodate the loads, displacements and movements of the bridge.

Our Rubber elastomeric bearings are made from high-quality elastomer with or without reinforced steel plates. The elastomer and steel plate are chemically bonded in a vulcanization process, forming a shear and pressure resistant connection.Elastomeric bearing pad is designed for bridges and building construction. It is made up from high purity rubber which is inserted in steel plates for reinforcement to form a homogeneous unit through vulcanization and molding manufacturing process. Laminated bearing pad are mainly categorized into two types: rectangular laminated bearing pad and round laminated bearing pad. It is designed to accommodate the movement (such as horizontal and transverse loads/movements) and rotation of the structure caused by thermal effect, structural load, wind load, seismic load and so on. Moreover, different shapes bearing pads suit different bridge, for example, rectangular bearing pad is fit for orthogonal bridges, round bearing pad is fit for curvilinear bridges, oblique crossing bridges and cylindrical pier bridges.

Classification
As laminated rubber bridge bearing has so many kinds including standard and customized types. They can be chosen according to different classification
According to the using condition
* Normal temperature laminated rubber bearing. It is made of Chloroprene rubber (CR), which is suitable for the -25 °C to +60°C temperature applications.
* Cold resistant laminated rubber bearing. It is made of natural rubber (NR), in -40 °C to +60 °C.
According to the structure
* Round shape laminated rubber bearing.
* Rectangular shape laminated rubber bearing.
According to sliding type
* Fixed type. It refers to the standard laminated rubber bearing without sliding performance.
* Sliding type. The top surface are designed with Teflon (PTFE) board for sliding.

Base Isolation System  - High Damping Rubber Pad Seismic Isolation Bridge Bearing
Base Isolation System is one of the most popular means of protecting a structure against earthquake forces.
A base isolation system is a method of seismic protection where the structure (superstructure) is separated from the base (foundation or substructure). By separating the structure from its base the amount of energy that is transferred to the superstructure during an earthquake is reduced significantly. These base isolation systems often tend to include one or more type of bearing to support the weight of the structure. Some examples of these components are; elastomeric pads, sliding plates or inverted pendulums. All of these components can provide some level of energy dissipation, but typically only in the form of hysteretic damping. Hysteretic damping has certain limitations in terms of energy absorption and can excite higher modes in some cases.

LRB- Lead Rubber Bearing
Lead Core Rubber Bearings (LRB) consists of a laminated rubber and steel bearing with steel flange plates for mounting to the
structure. Ninety percent of our isolators have an energy dissipating lead core. The rubber in the isolator acts as a spring. It
is very soft laterally but very stiff vertically. The high vertical stiffness is achieved by having thin layers of rubber reinforced by steel shims. These two characteristics allow the isolator to move laterally with relatively low stiffness yet carry significant axial load due to their high vertical stiffness.

The lead core provides damping by deforming plastically when the isolator moves laterally in an earthquake. The shims for isolators are cut to exacting tolerances by laser. The steel mounting plates are machined by computer-controlled milling machines that give high production throughput and accuracy. Molding each bearing takes 8 to 48 hours depending on the size of the bearing. The curing phase is continuously monitored to ensure that the rubber is uniformly cured throughout the bearing.

HDRB-High Damping Rubber Bearing
The HDRB isolators contain layers of rubber and reinforcing steel plates.These component let the HDRB isolate the bridge/building/ structure due to the horizontal stiffness and they can dissipate energy up to 15% damping due to high damping rubber compound. A HDRB isolators fulfil the following requirements: Transmit the vertical loads due to permanent and accidental effects ; Capacity to support horizontal loads due to service load conditions with very low displacements;

NRB-Natural Rubber Bearing
Rubber bearing that uses natural rubber. It has low damping performance (about 2~3% at equivalent damping factor), excellent linearity, and stable restoring force characteristic.
Separate damper is required, but with combination of damper types, attenuation, etc., it is possible to design with greater
flexibility.
Rubber material has four different kinds of elastic modulus(referred as G0.30, G0.35, G0.40, G0.45), able to support wide range of
column loads.
ESB-Elastic Sliding Bearing
It is consist of 2 pieces: 1) a natural rubber bearing bonded with PTFE(Teflon) material and 2) a stainless steel slide plate. Small displacements are absorbed by the rubber itself, while large displacements cause the rubber bearing to slide on the plate. Since the restoring function will be lost when the sliding occur r ed, normally it is used in combination with NRB, LRB or HDR. There are three different type offriction coefficient, which type to be used is based on necessity of damping.
